Is it possible to misdiagnose an allergic reaction or sensitive skin condition as HPV? - allergic to pea
I am happily married for 2 years to 3 years. I have sensitive skin and allergies very badly. 4 months ago my vagina started to itch really bad after 2 months I was able to get an appointment. w / my gyn My itching was diagnosed as a yeast infection. It was my father and sent a culture to determine whether a yeast, and it was. She wrote a prescription for the pill clear my yeast infection about two weeks. Then I began to itch very badly and get hives occasionally and of course thought he had an allergic reaction. He disappeared after I changed my laundry detergent. This weekend I began to itch and hives, and felt a hard pea sized lump near the vaginal opening. I have opened 2 Benedryl and the sun. Hives have disappeared and the itching, but remained the piece. I made an appointment. Monday. see my gynecologist. looked at him and around, and I was diagnosed (in that order) with HPV w / beehive, such as warts. She gave me a 'pocket Aldara Cream.

First, it could very well be genital warts HPV.
Not all external genital warts are in the same way
Itching is a common sign!
You can have two different conditions occur together, which can be confusing. The yeast and HPV infection. In any case, I would definitely Aldara cream) do not forget to order (you wash your face after 6-8 hours.
Carefully monitor the area and make sure and tell your doc if you see something unusual.
But to answer your question: YES. It is possible misdiagnosis of allergic reactions such as HPV / Herpes but usually occurs in the opposite --- HPV and (especially) herpes is often mistaken as an allergic reaction (among others). The pendulum swings both ways on this point.
If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Hope this helps
